La Mejor has several standard costs to the customer, which include:

The feedyard has an on site mill which helps keep feed cost low. We use a 52% corn grain for starting cattle and limit the ration for growing cattle. Our current ration consists of corn, cotton seed hulls, double ground burrs, hay and corn glutten pellets blended with a liquid supplement. Our mineral supplement consists of a mineral package, vitamins, fat and protein. Currently cattle have a daily average gain of 1.8 to 2.2 lbs.
